Ok so I was reviewing what we have so far, and I figured I should put together a glossary of terms s. I'll post what I have gleaned, and maybe we can get this post pinned to the beginning of the thread.

Canna - Bush grown nut often made into a protien rich butter.
Cave Lice - 1/2" long tick-like insects, annoying but mostly harmless unless encountered in a swarm
Charo Bean - A small caffeinated bean used to make beverages and confections.
Fallon Lily - Red Gold lily that is common on the surface of the Genii home world.
Graphite Stick - A length of graphite coated with rubber, sharpened and used in writing.
Greenfish - A hardy fish
Handset - Part of a Communication Receiver (Receiver for short), the handset houses the speaker and microphone.
Oction - a smallish, eight-legged lizard that feeds on cave lice, often kept as a pet.
Receiver - Shortened from 'Communications Receiver', a wired device to talk over long distances.
Roya - root vegetable
Sissa - a round fruit
Skyfall - A festival commemorating the Genii moving underground.
Tanga - Small rodents, known for hoarding. Often used in science experiments.
Veev'n Berries - small tart berries imported from Manara
Wristcomm - a wireless communication device typically worn on the wrist.

Military terms:

'Silent Mode' - all personnel and equipment not 'in costume' off the surface or otherwise concealed
