Since the Atlantis team is slowly taking shape, thought it was getting on time to start kicking around ideas for what might happen when they arrive, plots and generally and how to get the Pegasus peeps together with the visitors from the Milky Way. Can still do one-on-one scheming in the plotters, of course, this is more for group noodling that doesn't work as well scattered between several threads.

That said, let's get this party started!

I can't speak for Ronon, Teyla, or anyone else, so I'll just toss up my ideas from Ladon's perspective.

The Genii are still in their 'simple people' nothing-to-see-here-move-along mode, where they'll prolly stay for a bit, at least until someone stumbles across an unlocked top secret underground bunker door. But in the show the Genii had operations going on on a number of planets, and covert fingers in a lot of pies, so they could show up pretty much anywhere. They'd just have to be careful not to be identifiable as Genii (not have to wear that awful Putting on the Reich uniform? twist my arm). I'm leaning toward making Ladon his people's top expert on advanced tech, especially Wraith and Ancestor, thus the go-to guy when word reaches them of something like that. Since the Atlanteans also go around hoovering up alien artifacts, that could lead to a conflict.

It's a good idea but I find myself with a character who, by necessity isn't going to be easily introduced anywhere other than by an early version of what happened in the series unless it's unresolved violence or something of the sort. I could imagine the Gennai coming after that particle magnum he carries, it's plenty effective against Wraith and that's what they're after.

Yeah, getting that tracking thing out of Ronon should be a top priority. I like the unresolved violence and particle magnum ideas, though. Maybe there's some way to combine the two? The Genii make a play for the gun, but the Wraith show up midway through and disrupt the plan?

I would like Teyla to reprise the same role she had on the show and become part of the Atlantis team. She would definitely be invaluable as a guide since she is acquainted with so many worlds in the galaxy. But first she and the Athosians have to be discovered.

Until then, I believe the Athosians and the Genii traded together, so Teyla and Ladon would probably know each other already. So we might be able to do something with that. I'm not certain how she would meet Ronon unless he found himself on Athos, or she is visiting whatever world he happens to be on at the time.

I think it would be fun to figure out a way to get all three of them together.

Teyla and Ronon could meet really easily, in fact. She's such a kind person. If she happened to find a busted up Ronon who'd just barely survived the most recent hunt would she not attempt to help the badly hurt man? We can remove the danger it would pose to her people by having her discover him off her home world, pausing in some out of the way place he'd found to try to hole up to patch his hurt and make sure he's mobile again. If she knows what runners are she would even have some sense of urgency in getting him moving again and getting herself out of there quickly.

Just an admin interviention... with the 3 non-earth characters who we already have accepted, we could easily set something going already, if you were wanting to?

That's a great idea for Ronon and Teyla. She would definitely help him and wouldn't leave him until she made sure he was okay, no matter the danger to herself. It would probably be more interesting if she didn't know what a runner was. That way he could tell her and she could be suitably mortified ... lol. She would also be able to sense if the Wraith were coming back for him, so that could be a good thing as well.

And Anni, I'm up for anything to get Teyla posting, since she is my only character and likely to remain so for awhile. If the Atlantis people are going to come into play, it might be fun for them to discover Teyla and Ronon together, therefore killing two birds with one stone. And they would have better medical care for Ronon, and could remove his tracker. Just an idea.

In the show, the Athosians and the Genii appeared to have a long-standing trading relationship going back to well before the arrival of the Atlanteans (Teyla described them as 'simple people and fair traders'). She might not actually know Ladon yet, since they'd have no reason to take him out of his lab and send him to do the Amish thing. But, like Ronon, they might happen to both be visiting the same world at the same time. Or all three of them could be ...



What if where they chose to hole up happened to either be some secret Genii facility (like the mining one in ... I forget the name of the episode) or an abandoned Ancient (or other high tech culture) outpost. Either would likely be the most defensible place around, making it a logical choice.

I don't know if Athos is necessarily a wise place to do it but the Genii home world could work well enough unless our resident genii wants to get in on it. We'll need a third party world I believe. We can call it Taftlandia, a jungle world (think Predators, the Adrian Brody movie).
