Friends:

As an introvert, Jason prefers quality over quantity when it comes to friends. He takes friendship seriously and expects the same of those who want to be friends with him. Those who do count him as a friend can know that they will have someone who will be loyal to them and defend them to the hilt. At the same time, if someone breaks his trust, Jason will sever all ties with that person and very little can get them back in his good graces.

Antagonists:

Being a Earth military officer, Jason's biggest foes are those who threaten Earth. He also has little tolerance for those who would harm his wife, teammates, women, children and animals. Above all: Jason has very little tolerance for those who attack himself or others for religious reasons.

Romantic:

Jason takes his wedding vows seriously and never removes his wedding ring, unless he is showering, training, working around the house or the like. He often goes out of his way to show Megan that he cares about her: from leaving flowers or any kind of small gift for her, taking her out to dinner at a nice place to simply complimenting her and making her feel special. He has no qualms about giving his life to keep her safe from anyone that would want to attack her.

I have two characters for your consideration.

Claire Te Atua is the new CMO on the Beta site, having spent over a year on Atlantis, and having been at the SGC for 18-24 months before that. Chances are they'd have known one another before she went to Atlantis. She's a civilian, primarily an emergency surgeon with a prior specialism in paediatric emergency surgery. In a long term relationship with Caleb Williams, she's been posted to the Beta site for 3 months. Claire's straightforward, open, and laid back, and, unless you've done something to really, really piss her off, she's more likely to be a friend than an antagonist. She's a typical Kiwi, and will - at least at first - try to make friends with almost anyone.

Ruth Tolliver is a civilian linguist, and she has been at the SGC for about 3-4 years. She's not offworld that often, and tends to be holed up in the mountain with the more complex translations. She's bubbly and perky - probably the best way to describe her - but can be quite strident in her views, and that can cause clashes. She's also in a relationship, but has left him behind at the SGC to take the Beta site posting. Loyal and steadfast, she's the kind of person who would do anything for those she classes as friends.

Any thoughts?

Firstly Welcome to the Board, it's always nice to see new faces. :)

Caleb is as friendly as they come, he's quite confident so very much an extrovert. It wouldn't surprise me if Jason would have at least heard of Caleb's exploits (most people would have heard of him), he's in a very commited relationship with Claire Te Atua. He's always happy to lend a hand, and unless you try to kill him I couldn't see them being enemies. Caleb is very laid back, easy to get along with, he's a Weapons Specialist and has been with the Stargate programme for a few years now.

Let me know if you have any ideas for how these two would meet. :)

Jason would definitely have heard of Caleb's exploits. Given that both are of a military background, they could meet during training or mission briefing.

I think the question nowadays is who hasn't heard of Caleb's exploits to be honest. :)

Well Caleb has been with the programme for a few years now. He would have been back from Atlantis for a few months, but only back at the SGC for a week before getting shipped off to the Beta Site. So there's that timeline, could always be before he'd been shipped to Atlantis, depends how long Burke would have been at the SGC for? Am pretty much open to most threads with Caleb, he tends to land himself in some situations that are always interesting to play out. Am not sure how they'd interact through a briefing to be honest.

Hello and welcome from Meredith Blake, known to friends and co workers as Blake for the most part, Mere if your real close.

Mere is super friendly. She wont take a dislike to you unless you are an absolute dick to her, or one of her friends without good cause. She is loyal with her friends and will have your back when required, although she doesnt mind giving her friends some corrective advise if she feels they are in the wrong. I would say that Mere is definatly an extrovert, so I could see how she might some across perhaps as a little, much for an introvert. She is very boundry respectful though, so if you make the groundrules clear, she'll do her best to abide.

Mere is a combat medic, and is most likely encountered either on mission, or any numerous places around the base, and has been at the SGC coming close to three years.

She loves to run, and jogs daily, often in the mountains around the complex. She plays poker, enjoys a beer with her friends, and is not against trying a new activity if a chance presents itself.

You dont have to worry about her hitting on you, for the most part Mere doesnt tend to fraternise with her colleagues in that sense, plus if that ring is on your finger, she will respect it.

I'd be interested in how these two could cross paths? Whether its through mutual friends, a passing encounter in Colorado Springs, or perhaps just on mission. Let me know if you have any ideas?
