Fia reached over and gently took the pen from his hand, one raised brow almost daring him to stop her. Sliding the notebook towards her, she wrote in very unTaft like handwriting. Sunday Dinner with Fia @ 4pm. Returning the notebook to the table in front of him, she tucked his pen back into his pocket. It's a date. She said, to make her intention crystal clear.

Now I really should get back to studying, who knows when I am going to need to put this knowledge to use. Fia stood. Gathering up her 'homework', Fia balanced her empty tray on top of them. She made her way past him with a surprising grace, given her load. Just as she reached his shoulder, she leaned in and said softly. It's pronounced Fee-ah. With the tiniest of winks, she left.

It wasn't until she reached the hall way that she realized she hadn't gotten his address.

He didn't stop her, certainly not, he just watched as she strong-armed him for his stuff, wrote in his book, and put his pen back into the little slot on his sleeve. He looked down at the pad, read what she'd written, and then nodded. He covered what he was feeling with the business-like act of closing up his pad and putting it in his pocket.

Fia seemed intent on gathering her own things and so Taft let her, keeping his eyes on the far edge of the table while she did so. The look on his face was calm until she spoke in his ear, eyes going wide and suddenly clearing his throat as she walked away. It took three tries before he felt like he could have put three words together, and by then she was out the door. He considered it for a long moment before realizing that she had no idea where he lived. He chuckled. A good excuse to wonder by her office sometime before Sunday.
