"Nope, Think that is about it." Zev said, shaking his head. He kept up his usual slight smile, not letting on that the man had just impressed the hell out of him. If he only could have 'found' a young Ladon, like he had Navia. With those two minds behind him, he would have been unstoppable...

I think I have nixed Tahirah from the Expedition. She may even be retired after Tollana. If possible I would like to get Zev inserted into Atlantis. I have some plot ideas for that.

Zev watched her walk all the way out the door, wistful smirk on his lips, before turning back to Ladon. He looked the scientist over for a very long moment, an odd speculative glint in his eyes. "I am beginning to think the Navia you know, and the one I know, are two very different people."...

She could sense it, in the back of her mind, the maelstrom that was her temper. It had lain quiet for some time, but Zev's blatant manipulations had wakened it. It fed off his heavy-handed attempt to protect her, it's favorite meal. It whirled around within her, knocking her well ordered thoughts of...

"She. Goes home. Now." Zev leaned back in his chair, arms crossing over his chest. Before Navia could speak in protest, he continued. "This is not negotiable, Navia. So far your part in this has been small. Setting up this meeting, getting the camera, they can all be dismissed as foll...

The fact that Ladon hadn't agreed to the first condition wasn't lost on Zev, but then he hadn't expected it either. To accept too quickly would have given a sense of urgency, even eagerness, that did not seem to be in the Chief Scientist's nature. Zev fully anticipated having to outline all 3 condit...

Zev listened to all of Ladon's explanation, the details he knew, the ones he did not, and the ones that were implied. The nuirf shell ceased it's tapping, as he considered those implications. Though it held a level intensity of it's own, his expression was genial. At least up until the moment Navia'...

Navia clearly remembered that morning. She had not read the news sheet, so knew nothing of the Chief Apothecary's death at first. When Ladon arrived it was immediately clear to her something was off. He had gone straight into his office, with only a cursory greeting. Following the usual routine, she...
